Pope speaks on mental illness,

Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network

For the prevention of suicide – The Pope Video – November 2025

In The Pope Video for November, the Holy Father asks us to pray for those who are struggling with thoughts of suicide. He remincs us that all of us are vulnerable and that Christian communities must be welcoming, open to listening, and full of hope.

Every day about 2 thousand people in the world take their lives. It is the third leading cause of death among young people. In this context, we are invited to join our prayer with that of Pope Leo XIV: “that those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts might find the support, care and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.”

This video was produced by the Pope’s Worldwide Network, in collaboration with the Diocese of Phoenix and Vatican Media.
