May Affiliate Connect: Accompanying Unhoused and Housing Insecure

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 2:00pm EDT to 3:00pm

Welcoming all of God's people: Accompanying the unhoused and housing insecure of your community

Just as Jesus walks with ALL people, from ALL types of situations and struggles; we also need to accompany and welcome all people in all types of struggles. We will explore how we can welcome and accompany those struggling with housing insecurity in our community. We will discuss our experiences with the unhoused, our bias and stereotypes surrounding those experiencing housing insecurity, and how to begin to engage and welcome all of God’s people to our parishes.

Open to diocesan AND parish leaders in Affiliate Dioceses! Registration links will be sent to diocesan disability ministry leaders one week prior to the event and we ask them to share the invitation with parish leaders.
