About National Family Caregivers Month
November is National Family Caregivers Month and a time to recognize and honor ALL caregivers across the country, but especially caregivers who care for family members. Family caregivers often do not identify as caregivers, instead referring to love or obligation. Not calling themselves caregivers means they are unlikely to access resources or supports and can be isolated from communities. Reach out to the caregivers in your parish community, extend support and prayers and accompany them on this challenging journey.
Prayers of the Faithful
During this National Caregivers month, we lift up all who care for the sick, knowing how taxing it can become for them, and we recognize their need for on-going support from family and friends. May caregivers find the strength to continue their amazing work.
That caregivers seek and find the support needed to take care of themselves and their loved ones during this National Family Caregivers Month and every day.
For caregivers who, like Mary and Joseph and so many others, said "yes" to God's call to serve, that they may feel God's love and find joy in their role.
