November NCPD Affiliate Connect “Ministry Life Balance”

Join our November meeting!

We meet with NCPD Affiliates on the third Wednesday of the month to address various disability-related needs of dioceses. Brenda L. Rascher, MSW, JD. Executive Director  of the Office of Catholic Social Services  at the Diocese of Trenton will present on:

Brenda L. Rascher

Brenda L. Rascher, MSW, JD

Brenda is the Executive Director of the Office of Catholic Social Services for the Diocese of Trenton, New Jersey.  Among other responsibilities, she serves as the diocesan contact for NCPD and as the Bishop’s Delegate to the Holy Innocents Society, a nonprofit organization created by the Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton in 1976 to focus on the needs of persons with disabilities throughout the diocese.  Prior to assuming this position, Brenda was a public interest attorney with nonprofit legal service organizations for 25 years representing low-income, senior, and/or disabled residents of New Jersey.  Before attending law school, Brenda was a social worker for the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging for 7 years where she helped seniors age at home with services specific to their needs.  She earned a law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a Master in Social Work from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri; and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Brenda is one of 7 sisters, one of whom was born with intellectual challenges.  She currently lives just outside Trenton, New Jersey.
