Affiliate Connect - September

Wed, 09/18/2024 - 2:00pm EDT to 3:00pm

We meet with NCPD Affiliates every month to address the specific needs of their dioceses. This month's Affiliate Connect will discuss:

“Initiating a Parish Advocates Program in Your Diocese”

After the COVID-19 pandemic, most opportunities for gathered events came to a standstill. Creating new ways to meet the needs of persons with disabilities across the local Church seemed like an overwhelming task. Lynne Chapman, Disability Inclusion Manager for the Archdiocese of Dubuque, IA, entered this ministry in the midst of the pandemic, and will share her experience of bringing the ministry to a more personal level, and focusing on the needs of the parishes. Find out how Lynne initiated a Parish Advocates program, with a goal to reach families with children with disabilities in every parish.

Diocesan Directors will receive an email on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 with a link to register.
