NCPD Pre-meeting at the CSMG 2023 - Washington, DC

Sat, 01/28/2023 - 10:30am EST to 12:00pm

Join NCPD Pre-meeting on Sat., January 28, 2023, from 10:30 am to Noon at USCCB's Catholic Social Ministry Gathering Conference (CSMG) held annually in DC. This year it will be in-person at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill - 400 New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Dr. Jennifer L.K. Charles, Assistant Professor, National Catholic School of Social Service of The Catholic University of America, will present:

Mental Health: Moving Past the Taboo to a Culture of Acceptance

Mental health and mental illness, although commonly experienced, remain taboo topics. This discussion will present a general overview of mental health and mental ill-health. Additionally, participants will have a conversation about mental health stigma, what it causes, and how we can collectively move past it toward a culture that accepts and even celebrates efforts to sustain mental wellness and the contributions of those with mental health conditions.

NCPD is an exhibitor at CSMG 2023. We hope to see you there!
