Affiliate Connect March 2025: Handing on the Faith, with Flair

We meet with NCPD Affiliates every month to address the specific needs of their dioceses. This month's Affiliate Connect will discuss:

Handing on the Faith, with Flair

A presentation focusing on best practice methods of training parish volunteers, DREs and catechists, to include and celebrate children and adults with disabilities in Faith Formation across the life span.

Diocesan Directors of Affiliate Dioceses will receive an email on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with a link to register. Invite your diocesan Faith Formation leaders to join you!

Mary O'Meara

Executive Director for the Archdiocese of Washington’s Office for Deaf and Disability Ministries

Mary O’Meara earned her graduate degree at Gallaudet University, the only Liberal Arts University for the Deaf in the world. Mary is the Executive Director for the Archdiocese of Washington’s Office for Deaf and Disability Ministries. The Office of Deaf and Disabilities Ministry serves persons across the archdiocese who are Deaf, persons with developmental and physical disabilities, persons who are blind, Veterans with war related injury, persons living with Chronic Illness, families who have received an unexpected prenatal diagnosis of lethal condition, persons living with mental illness and consults with the Archdiocesan Public Policy Team on legislation impacting those who are Deaf or live with a disability. Mary serves on the Executive Board of the International Catholic Foundation for the Services of Deaf Persons, based in Liverpool, England, and the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Institute Board in Washington, DC.
