Summary

NCPD stands by the Catholic doctrine expressed by John Paul II, that stem cell
research goals cannot justify destroying any human life (including embryos). 
However, NCPD supports adult stem cell research, and the use of stem cells
from placentas and umbilical cords, because those forms of research are both
promising and ethical.
